Allergic rhinitis, asthma, atopic eczema, contact sensitivity reactions, dermatitis, discoid eczema, discoid lupus erythematosus, eczema, infantile eczema, neurodermatoses, perennial rhinitis, psoriasis, purigo nodularis, seborrheic dermatitis.
Glaucoma, cataract, growth retardation, adrenocortical suppression, decrease in bone mineral density, pruritus, dysphonia, allergic contact dermatitis, cough, oral candidiasis, local burning, hyperpigmentation, hypertrichosis, vocal cord myopathy, throat irritation, superficial blood vessels dilatation, superficial blood vessels thinning.
Fluticasone propionate is known to interact with other drugs like carbamazepine, cyclosporin A, frusemide or furosemide, phenytoin (Na), primidone, rifampicin, theophylline, warfarin (Na). Always consult your physician for the change of dose regimen or an alternative drug of choice that may strictly be required.
MECHANISM OF ACTION
Fluticasone propionate binds to the glucocorticoid receptor with high affinity and produces alteration of transcription and protein synthesis, a decreased release of leukocytic acid hydrolases, reduction in fibroblast proliferation, prevention of macrophage accumulation at inflamed sites, reduction of collagen deposition, interference with leukocyte adhesion to the capillary wall, reduction of capillary membrane permeability and subsequent edema, reduction of complement components, inhibition of histamine and kinin release, and interference with the formation of scar tissue.
Duodenal ulceration, for prophylaxis in pregnancy, prophylaxis of acid aspiration in obstetric patients.
Arrhythmias, headache, palpitation, tachycardia, insomnia, tremor, peripheral dilatation.
Steroids or diuretics may potentiate a possible hypokalaemic effect of ?-agonists. Increased susceptibility to cardiac arrhythmias in patients treated with digitalis. Concomitant use with quinidine, disopyramide, procainamide, phenothiazines, antihistamines, MAOI or TCAs can prolong the QT-interval and increase the risk of ventricular arrhythmias. L-dopa, L-thyroxine, oxytocin and alcohol can impair cardiac tolerance towards ?2-sympathomimetics.
MECHANISM OF ACTION
Formoterol fumarate relaxes the bronchial smooth muscle by selectively acting on ?2-receptors with minimal effect on heart rate.

Can I take Combihale Ff(250mg) during pregnancy?
Studies in animals have shown risk to fetus, however there are no sufficient studies in humans. This drug may be used in pregnant women if benefit outweighs the risk. Patients should follow the advice of the doctor regarding its use.
